context

The client needed a centralized platform to manage all programs and processes related to the global mobility of their employees. Their current process was outdated, had many steps to follow, and made it difficult for people interested in learning more about the programs offered by the company.

the challenge

To design a centralized platform to streamline the process where users could:

  • explore opportunities and relevant information about destinations and programs

  • manage their tasks related to assigned mobility programs and trips according to their roles

  • meet people and connect with them to learn about their experiences

The users were defined according to their employee levels and then assigned a user profile to represent the complexity of each mobility scenario. Because of timeline and budget limitations, we decided to focus on the 4 main mobility scenarios which are:

  • business travel

  • assignment

  • relocation

  • hybrid

ideation

Once we defined the users, we created a flow to understand and optimize the steps that the user will take according to their role and which platforms they had to interact with to comply with the requirements. After that we continued the process with the creation of low fidelity wireframes to conceptualize and iterate so we could make better design decisions.

the solution

Mobility platform: No trips assigned

These are the initial screens for employees who haven't started a trip or don't have an assigned trip yet. At this stage, employees can access important information through the blog cards and initiate a new trip assignment if needed.

Mobility platform: Trip assigned

Once a trip is assigned, employees can use the platform to manage all necessary details, complete assignment-related tasks, view important destination information, and even contact their trip advisor for support.

Mobility platform: Explore and community

A key feature of the platform is fostering community and sharing stories among employees, allowing others to benefit from their experiences. In this section, employees can explore nearby places, access essential information to ease their adaptation to the city, seek help from colleagues, and even make friends throughout their entire mobility journey!
